Microwave Caramel Corn

Microwave Caramel Corn

Yield: 12 popcorn balls

3-4 qts. Popped corn
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick margarine
¼ c. light corn syrup
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda

1. Pop 3-4 qts. Of your favorite popcorn
2. In a large bowl microwave brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup, and salt on high heat until melted, 2-3 minutes.
3. Boil mixture for 2 minus. Remove from the microwave
4. Stir in baking soda; stir until foamy
5. Pour mixture over the popped corn.
6. Place coated popcorn in a brown grocery bag. Fold down the top edge to close and microwave for 1 ½ minutes on high.
7. Remove from microwave and shake bag very well. Microwave for another r1 ½ minutes.
8. Shake again and cook 1 ¼ minutes more.
Pour into serving bowl, or quickly form into popcorn balls or cakes.
